After giving birth you may experience some weird symptoms which initially may seem alarming but are totally normal postnatal symptoms. Here are a few that you might suffer from:

Hair Loss

Postnatal hair loss is really normal. It often starts at around 2-3 months postnatally and can take 6 months for things to return to normal. However, if you’re concerned reach out to your GP for blood tests.

Postnatal odour

Many women notice an increase in body odour postnatally. Although you might not be a fan of your new smell your baby will love it and remember it’s only temporary!

Night sweats

Waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat really isn’t fun, however, many women experience this in the first few weeks postnatally. It’s thought that the hot flushes are caused by the sudden drop in hormones after you’ve had your baby.

After birth pains

These are contractions that you experience after you’ve had your baby. It is your body’s way of helping your uterus to return to its pre-pregnancy size. Although they will likely be at their most intense for the first few days after birth, they may last for a week or so.
