Finding time to relax in pregnancy can often feel a bit like an afterthought, if you’re busy with work, family, life admin and all the other crazy stuff that we find ourselves doing…. it can really feel tricky to find time to relax.
What can you do to relax?
- Exercise – Move your body, walking, swimming and pregnany yoga are all great choices.
- Breathing – Take some time to sit and rest, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Use this time to sit quietly and breathe deeply.
- Do something you enjoy – This can be something as simple as getting some fresh air, or reading, seeing a friend, enjoying a hot cup of coffee or an early night!
- Be creative – anything creative such as drawing, colouring, baking, journaling and meditation can help.
All of these are shown to encourage relaxation, release stress, boost your mood and help you to sleep better.
I teach a free online monthly pregnancy relaxation class. The next one will be on Monday the 7th February at 8pm. It doesn’t matter where you’re based as its all online, you could be anywhere in the world and you don’t have to be doing any other classes with me. It’s a half-hour class, a short stretch followed by relaxation.
Take the opportunity to take some time out. It’s good for you and it’s good for your baby too!
Come along to my pregnancy relaxation class and let me know how you feel.
Book yourself in for the class through the website: JustExhale – you can find out more by messaging me via my Facebook: Just Exhale | Facebook
