More often than not your baby won’t be born on the date you’re told at your scan, so although it’s a good date to focus on, it isn’t always accurate.
Here at JustExhale, we do our best to encourage ladies to enjoy their pregnancy in its entirety and not become fixated on a specific date.
Due date facts:
- 4% of babies arrive on their actual due date.
- They are only an educated guess based on your ultrasound.
- It is worked out based on your ovulation dates – something many ladies don’t know!
- Your ‘real’ due date is anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy.
What is important to remember, is that more often than not, your baby knows when it’s the right time for them. In the meantime, you could take part in one of our pregnancy yoga courses to help relax you and pass the time.
We’re interested to know whether you went into labour naturally either before or after your due date or whether your baby arrived on the date you were originally told? Let us know in the comments!
All of my little ones were waaaaaay past their estimated date and they were so worth the wait!
