When you think about it, giving birth is not much different to running a marathon. There’s so much preparation you have to do. Months of physical training, educating yourself about hydration/nutrition and getting your outfit right. Plus, the mental prep and ensuring you have a good support network!

Preparing for giving birth is very similar. From doing your birth preparation classes, hypnobirthing practice, and keeping active during pregnancy. The learning about breathing techniques, birthing positions, eating all the right food and getting your birth partner up to speed. Not to mention, buying all the baby equipment, packing your hospital bags and buying all the snacks! And don’t forget about planning the route to the hospital and where to park the car. The list is endless!

So, make sure you prepare for birth as you would a marathon so that you can have the most positive birth experience and get yourself booked into my hypnobirthing and pregnancy yoga classes.
